    Description

This is a massive dealers lot of new old stock consisting of a variety of reference books on bank notes, currency and scrip by Dr. John A. Muscalus, most from the 1960s and early 1970's. They are all soft-cover booklets, some of them are thick, some just a few pages. They are loaded with fantastic images of rare notes.
After having gone over each box, I estimate that all together there are around 8000-9000 pieces.  Shipping will require 5 very large and heavy boxes.  Each of the small boxes in the main photo is packed full, in most cases with a single title and for a few of the boxes two or three titles.  If a book is thin, there could be as many as 500 in each one of these boxes, and if it is a thicker book there could be less than 100.
Almost all of these have rusty staples, as you can see in the image.  They were probably stored in a not completely dry environment for some part of their life.  Some may show some wear beyond that, but most seem clean otherwise.
The titles that are stacked outside the small boxes in the images are the following:

    SEAL CURRENCY COLLECTION
This collection features three different types of historic currency with different colored seals ? VF + Condition
Collecting paper money has never been as popular as it is today. All modern paper currency is Federal Reserve Notes with green Treasury seals and green serial numbers.  In the past, however, Americans used several different types of paper currency, and each type had a distinctively colored Treasury seal and serial numbers.  This collection features three different types of historic currency with different colored seals.
Blue seal Silver Certificates were last made in the Series of 1957. Each note displays a blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers.  Silver Certificates were backed by in silver held in the U.S. Treasury. At one time, the bearer of the note could exchange it at the Treasury for the silver.
Green seal Federal Reserve Notes, the only type of paper currency still in circulation, feature a green Treasury seal and green serial numbers.  The Federal Reserve Note was first issued in the Series of 1976 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.  The back features John Trumbull?s historic painting, The Signing of the Declaration of Independence.  It is the only commemorative bank note design in U.S. history.
Red seal Notes circulated alongside other types of paper currency until the 1960?s, and the United States Note was last made in the Series of 1963.  Each United States Note has a red Treasury seal and red serial numbers, along with a portrait of Abraham Lincoln on the front and the Lincoln Memorial on the back.
